JOB TITLE: West Coast Regional Sales Manager

DEPARTMENT: Sales

REPORTS TO: SVP of Sales & Field Operations

LOCATION: West Coast (Remote)

SALARY: $80,000 + $80,000 commission = $160,000 OTE

SUMMARY

The West Coast Regional Sales Manager is an exciting role that’s responsible for consistently prospecting fleets, small businesses, and government municipalities to drive top line revenue. This role will be responsible for managing the Commercial outside sales of their assigned region, meeting sales quotas, increasing fleet opportunities, and closing sales. The ideal applicant thrives where they can be independent and is motivated to continually find and draw in new leads to build their sales pipeline. They should have consultative selling experience, be organized, proactive, and collaborative.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

§ Achieve commercial volume sales targets within assigned region.

§ Maximize assigned region’s sales growth strategy, planning, and optimization by:

o Building the top of the sales funnel through lead generation.

o Identify, develop, and manage relationships with region-wide prospects that need future electrification of fleets.

o Cold-Calling potential prospects.

o Scheduling appointments & meetings with interested commercial customers.

o Hosting customer vehicle test drives & demo’s

o Generating Quotes, POs, and Orders for customers

o Following up on inbound leads as they arise from marketing events, channel partners, website, calls, etc.

o Understanding, Discussing, and Selling ZEVX’s product line-up, market position, and Ecosystem of Commercial Products to potential customers.

o Maintain, Utilize, and Update CRM system daily with all sales activity.

o Communicating effectively with customers and prospects according to their preferred method of communication (phone, email, or in-person).

o Managing sales leads, responding to inquiries in a timely fashion, and answering questions.

§ Work closely with Sales Management team to provide timely client status updates.

§ Liaise with Marketing, Product Development and Operations departments to ensure brand consistency, product, and availability.

§ Develop key customer insights and use cases for future product development.

§ Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth.

§ Ensure compliance with all company policies when carrying out job duties.

§ Any other related tasks as requested by your manager.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

§ 5+ years in outside B2B sales

§ 1+ year experience in the truck, electric vehicle, or automotive sector

§ Experience selling to Commercial Fleets & Government/Municipalities

§ “Challenger Sales” or Consultative selling style.

§ Demonstrated success exceeding sales goals, targets, and KPIs

§ A strong ownership mindset and sense of urgency.

§ Ability to travel 70% of the time within assigned territory

§ Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, logistics, delivery, finance, and admin teams

§ Strong organizational and time management skills.

§ Self-starter – drive to develop effective processes and takes initiative.

§ Focused on results – wants to build a successful EV brand

§ High Level of Computer Literacy including Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel.

§ Excellent Verbal & Written communication and negotiation skills

§ Team player: comfortable consistently working with multiple teams.

§ Dedicated to an ethical approach to sales and sales operations.

§ Flexible and adaptable problem solver with a positive outlook.

§ Possesses a valid driver’s license.

Preferred:

§ Bachelor’s degree

§ 10+ years in outside commercial sales

§ 5+ years’ experience in the truck or automotive sector

§ 2+ years’ experience in the electric vehicle space

§ Hubspot CRM experience
